Blaupunkt 26

These can be seen in the VR-1200 pics. The 3 tv's were part of the colour upgrade, one monitoring each channel, until just before 6pm, the Ch10 receiver was switched to QTQ9 and provided the off-air feed for our National Nine News, A Current Affair and Class Of '75 relays. The Ch5 receiver covered Ch10 with 5 being a translator. The back-up was still one of the old EMI receivers. A bit of receiver station swapping at 7pm with Class Of '75 being from BTQ7.

One evening Anselmo, the traffic manager, thought he'd check out the cricket on the ABC. He did this bang on 6pm on the Ch10 unit, cricket to air instead of 9 News for a few seconds. Soon afterwards two Rohde & Schwarz receivers, not tv's, arrived to give us two permanent off air feeds. On the Bathurst 1000 day we'd block off the circular drive around the station as vehicles did create some slight interference to Ch7 off air.

Ha Ha.....good on you Anslemo!  Gee Dave, I did not know those old girls were used as remote relay receivers...remote 1 and 2 were in place when I started.
