Television Queen
One of my funniest moments was when a viewer wrote to the station asking for permission to write a song for me. Ned Fenton from Nanango had composed a multi-versed country song in his garden shed called "Television Queen". Much to my distress he sent the recording to the station manager who took great delight in playing it to everyone. The catchiest line by far was "I'm like a drought-struck farmer, crying out for Raine!". I still have the tape and my children think it's wonderful. Ned, wherever you are, thank you!
